Thurston, the Chatty Sweetheart

Thurston, the sweet gentle screamer.  He is always there with a big hug, and a long story to share, and he loooves the color red.
This boy loves snow, and is super excited to start snowboarding this year.
Here he is painting his flower pot.
He graduated Kindergarten this year, and received an award for perfect attendance.  Who knew.  Good thing they didn't factor in tardis. ;)
We went to Southern California this summer.  Here he is posing away on the Balboa Pier.
He found a new love of swimming when he passed his swim lessons.
He loves school, and had really caught onto reading like a champ.
This picture captures Thurston so well.  I can hear him telling a story as I look at it.
And here is the other side, the quiet, snuggly sweet Thurston.

Aleah, The Bedheaded Pajama Monster

This little girl has had a big year of growing... She's a blast and keeps us going and going and going.
She is always willing to clean up after everyone:
For her second birthday, we had a Princess Tea Party.  Here she is with her Prince, Prince Elliott.
With her brothers at Easter dying eggs.
Here she is at Thurston's Graduation
Our dear friend Kim did a photo shoot for Aleah's second birthday.  Here is one of the many many great pics.
This is what we think about potty training.
Aleah loves her time at the library at her Music and Movement class.  She does it in style.
She's a big 'helper' and her favorite this year was to help with watering all the flowers.
She was so cold when we had our family pictures taken.  I love this shot, because you can see her saying 'burrrrr'.
I, personally, think that she is the most beautiful girl, ever.  I love having these days just us hanging around.  She is very spirited, and very sweet.  What would we all do without our Eeaaah cake?

A Happy Christmas to All

Another Year has passed, this is obvious.  This year we decided to go cheap and lazy and do a special blog just about ourselves for all to read.  Lucky You! ;)  Our family has been on quite an adventurous year and has come out on the other side, stronger and happier than ever.  We love our dear family and awesome friends.  We've had the privilege of making some great new friends this year, as well as strengthening old ones.  Nothing is better than being surrounded by those who love, understand and support you.  Wouldn't you agree??
These guys bring on the most stress and the most joy.  We love them oh so very much!
In the end, we are so happy we have each other
      Esp these 2 dufuses
I'm throwing in this one too.  It's nice, no?  Go kiss your loved one and tell them you love them right now!

So, we wish you all a Happy Happy Christmas.  Love, The Thomson's   Joseph (6 11/12ths) Thurston (5) Aleah (22 mo).
*Big thanks to Kim Filiapak for taking these great photos

PRESTON

Still the father who will wait until after the kids are in bed to eat dinner so he can play with the kids.  Who will venture into 34 degree weather to play catch because the boys won't let up.  Work at Micron is busy and going well.  Still an avid UTAH football fan, and will try and watch every game he can- even if it is on his laptop with the kids jumping around him. :) He is the loveable, fun, sweet and Sassy Preston we all love.
Playing in San Diego
Still a kid at heart- Lego's still excite him
                                                Still a sexy, sexy beast.
Like I said, still a sexy, sexy beast.... ;)
....and still the best Daddy to these monkeys.

HOLLIE

The New Year started off with a bang with my little bout of C. Diff.  It was fun.  I got over it and got on with my life. :)  This year has been so great, hard, fun, exciting, painful and all in the end:  Worth it.  I spend my days trying to figure out how kids can get things so messy so fast, running back and forth doing errands and dropping off/ picking up kids.  Sometimes I even manage to get in the art room and create.  I don't always get that priviledge, but when it happens, I relish it.  Joseph is gone all day and Thurston is gone all day every other day.  I appreciate and love the days I have with Aleah- it's nice to get that one on one interaction.  It's scary how much she is turning out like me. ;)  Finally, I have someone to have tea parties with!

More and more than ever-  I Love this man, don't know what I would do without him!

JOSEPH

Another Year for our oldest.  Joseph is 6 going onto 17.  Is packed full of confidence and great locks of hair.  He was in T-Ball this year and loved it and is looking forward to baseball season.
He is doing well in 1st grade, and the only real complaint from his teacher is him always socialzing.  *Suprise surprise*
You don't see the day to day changes, so its nice to look back at the begining of the year and realize just how much your little guy has grown.
He still talks about Legoland.  He still loves Transformers and Bionicles... just add Bakugan and Legos to the mix.  He is starting to really love drawing, and for a 6 year old turns out some pretty great stuff.
He really enjoyed the Summer and spending time at Eagle Island
Quite the poser.  We new we wanted our children to have confidence- this kids is oozing with it.  Maybe a little too much- but he does love his friends and often takes an extra quarter on popcorn day just incase one of his friends wants some popcorn. :)
They fight like you would expect brothers to, but more and more he is admitting that he loves his brother.
If you know Joseph, you know that he is ever so animated- esp when you whip out a camera.

                                             Love this!!

THURSTON

Thurston, the Talking Sweetheart.
Thurston graduated from Preschool, and moved on to the big bad Kindergarten.  He loves it and is doing quite well, infact, better than I was thinking.  His student teacher just loves him and said that he is always so sweet to everyone in the class.  He is also in the Spanish imersion class, and you should hear him count past 30. ;)
This is him clebrating Wadie's (that's his blanket) birthday.  Silly guy.
Dressing up for Easter is no longer a fun idea.  Don't think it ever was....
He was our little waiter for a garden party we had with friends.  He got some good tips.  This was his lunch break.
The highlight of his year was our trip to Lego Land.  That kid got hooked on roller coasters.

I love this picture so much
He is super into his Drago costume.  He asked me everyday if he could wear his costume- so I told him he could wear it anytime he wanted after Halloween.  I would say 95% of the time since, he has worn it.  Yet- I have failed to put in a picture of it.
He is sweet, loving, emotional and can talk the ear off anyone in the room.  He is a wonderful big brother and takes care of Aleah, as you can see.
Our little Monkey is growing up
....into quite the handsome little man.
